The mixture of new construction and two rehabilitated historic buildings creates a vibrant town square atmosphere in downtown Springfield. The scope of work also included the relocation of a historic masonry church. The project encompasses a 125,000-SF casino a 250-room, four-star hotel tower 85,000 SF of Class A office space 45,000 SF of meeting and convention space, with pre-function and back-of-house/food preparation areas a multiplex and bowling alley 165,000 SF of retail and restaurant space, including seven eateries and a structure containing parking for 3,400 vehicles, dock and physical plant space. The first of its kind in Massachusetts, the casino resort represents a substantial investment in the city and acts as a catalyst for growth.
